CREATE JOBS

1. Free patents in exchange for 1/2 percent of gross sales for individuals and small companies.
2. Almost free education using DVD Library and $200 laptop.
3. Require High School diploma or certificate of trade skill. No dropouts. The law allowing
dropout around age 16 should be changed to above requirements.
4. Portugal decriminalized drug crimes with no increase in usage. One million prisoners in US at cost of $30 billion per year to house plus cost of courts, law enforcement and property crimes.

Looking at the future of educating our youth.

Good Day to You Mr President,
Does a good education have to involve bussing our children 5 days week to schools. Why can’t we cut School days to two or three days a week. This way the schools can handle twice the children with small classrooms. We have the technology to have our kids learn at home on the internet and with the help of local teachers i think sending our kids to school has become out-dated and too expensive. We have to look outside the box sometimes.
Respectfully yours.

REDUCING PORK. REDUCING NON-NATIONAL-PRIORITY SPENDING

One democratic way to reduce non-national-priority spending is to require states (or counties, or PACS , etc ) whose representatives are pushing for spending programs which benefit mainly/only their narrow base of constituents, is to require that such expenses/expenditures be authorized in advance (state and local ballots) and funded via “targeted levies” (state and local taxes) , rather than federal taxes imposed on the entire nation.

INCREASE THE PRESSURE

This message is for President Obama and relates to the situation in Egypt in which the US administration seems to be totally powerless, using neither carrots nor sticks. I would like to offer following suggestion to move things in the Middle East, starting with Egypt.

Have the US Government inform Mr Mubarak and his cronies that, effective immediately, their ill-gotten wealth will be under heavy international scrutiny, that their US assets and assets located in other democratic countries (friendly to the US) may be frozen. On the other hand, if they relinquish their dictatorship soon in an orderly manner, they may be shown leniency and may be offered refugee status in the US or the West after their regime collapses. Doing so, they may avoid being assassinated, or being imprisoned for life.

The US should start thinking about its long term interests while it is still time. Threatening to withhold $ 1.3 billion in mostly military aid is peanuts.

Sincerely

The dignified withdrawal of Mubarak

It is up to the President of the United States to speak the eulogy of Mubarak for his role in the growth of Egypt to be a major force in international affairs.
Greatness is often to admit defeat.
We want to remember Mubarak for his achievements in the history of Egypt not for a final moment of indignity.
Today he is defeated by the impatience of the new middle class that he has educated to be the leaders of Egypt tomorrow.
He must recognize defeat, as the leaders of toiday’s democracies must often do. But he is the author of this new Egypt that sees him as belonging, with equally old cronies, to the past.
His friends look to him to show the vision and greatness that he has done in creating modern Egypt in showing the children whose future he has created that he is proud to give these children their proper share in their inheritance.
The crowds in the square in Cairo want to be recognized as the true heirs more than to kick Dad and his cronies out the window.
The words from Mubarak, “I am proud of your fight to win the share the inheritance you deserve,” would seal his name in Egyptian history. Tell him so.

HomeOwneship BailOut that Actually Bails Out The HomeOwner

Hello Mr President & Good Afternoon ,

My suggestion is to to re allocate the billions of dollars that is being used to bail out the banks (that are misusing the funds anyway) and bail out the homeowners directly. how about using the recorded assessed value (owner occupied first, investment/2nd homes next) and each homeowner is granted a bail out to reduce thier mortgage to 80% loan to value. = bank gets $, howeowner gets homeownership interest in thier home …… what do you think ? You can contact me directly if you have any questions about my idea

CAC card certificates

Why do we have several certificates on our government issued CAC cards? Different systems require a different certificate off the same card with the same PIN number. When logging in to different systems the user has to stop and think which certificate to use (i.e. email vs. id). Depending on how much coffee I’ve had, I’ll pick the wrong one and have to get out and come back in and select the correct certificate. I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal but multiply this by all the government users doing the same thing and the hours add up.

disability

Social Security is not fundamentally an entitlement. People who have worked hard for years and retire and have paid into the system deserve to their Social Security payments.
Social Security through disability is an abused entitlement. The severely disabled who truly are unable to work are indeed vulnerable and in need of our support. But the whiners who claim inability to work due to back pain or similar conditions that do not preclude the ability to be gainfully employed in some fashion should not be enabled by our government. Hardworking taxpayers should not be forced to financially support the lazy. Make it much more difficult for the allegedly disabled to qualify for Social Security.
I have indeed seen parents who have been encouraged by social workers to apply for Social Security for their children with common medical conditions such as asthma or ADHD. These are the parents who themselves are on welfare, who do not appreciate their responsibility to their country, who want the easy way out. I know of people who have been convicted of crimes such as embezzlement from their employers who then apply for, and GET, disability payments for back pain, or even for depression resulting from the stress of dealing with the consequences of their crimes.
Reform the disability system, and save taxpayer money.
On a similar note: the US government pays in full for all dialysis treatment. That is fine for the blameless patient with idiopathic or congenital or rheumatic kidney disease leading to end stage failure. But for all the patients with end stage kidney disease resulting from obesity-related type 2 diabetes from poor diet and lack of exercise – the hardworking taxpayers should not be made to pay for their poor lifestyle choices.

Obama Speeches

Obama‘s speeches are wonderful. But he needs to look at his TV audience, rather than just looking to either side of the TV camera. Develop a teleprompter that allows our wonderful president to look directly at the people as he is speaking. It would make a tremendous difference in the response of the people to his speeches.

660 Millions in SAVINGS ready for the taking

If DoD Priority Placement Program (PPP) for civilian employees had an option to decline Stateside placement, Millions of Dollars could be saved.
PPP is to assist current career, and career-conditional employees who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. An option be added to the 5-year rule allowing a person to decline PPP registration and still be able to have Permanent employment status would save thousands of dollars annually?
Many promising careers are terminated early because of PPP when they elect to stay with there families resulting in loss talent to the DoD, recruitment of a replacement and replacement training costs. The intent of this email is to highlight the wasted tax dollars being spent on a program that could be better.
Overseas many employees are local highered and would elect a tour extension beyond the 5 year limitation even knowing that they will lose statutory return rights to the States but this is not an option.
“The governing authority for the 5 year rule Priority Placement Program (PPP) comes from Department of Defence Instruction (DoDI)1400.25, implementing AR 690-300.301. PPP is used to assist current career, and career-conditional employees who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. Examples are BRAC, accompanying an active duty spouse to a new duty station or Reduction in Force (RIF). There are provisions in place in DoDI 1400.25 to extend employees beyond the 5 year limitation and Region Directors overseas have the authority to extend tours”.
A review of the PPP 5-year rule would conclude that transferring Appropriated Fund (AF) non-management (GS-8 and Below + WG) civilian employees to the States is not cost effective. Is fiscal responsibility being exercised when transferring a WG truck driver, forklift operator or KP to the States that makes $20K annually when the transfer cost is $37K?
Registering in PPP is mandatory if we want Permanent employment status. By allowing employees to decline PPP registration in the pay grade of GS-8 and Below + WG and retain employment would save millions of dollars annually and enhance quality of life. The decision to accept Permanent employment status is not mandatory but is a financial decision as Temporary or Term positions offer no benefits or opportunities.
Please consider amending or abolishing the 5-Year Rule.
