I voted for John McCain, but I have been impressed with your initiatives and actions taken so far.
If we are going to listen to you for the next 4 years, it would be much more effective and enjoyable if you could complete a sentence WITHOUT all the “aahs”. It is very annoying.

Why do we want people to be able to scan us while we’re traveling to know if we’re US citizens? Seems crazy to me. This chip does nothing to provide safety. Actually, it makes it easier for a person or group to locate and target a US citizen. My old passport will need to be renewed in two years and I am NOT happy about the microchip that will be embedded into the new one issued.
Please consider our safety while traveling overseas and at least give us the CHOICE to have the microchip in the document or not.

There are many “costs” associated with buying a house that add almost no value. There are two that are easy to remedy:
- Title insurance: There should be a simple electronic database that is the official database of liens on a property. If the lien isn’t in the database – it isn’t valid. There is a two week window for people to record liens — and that two week period can be part of the closing process (notify a sale is pending thus refuse new liens until closed).
- Mortgage documentation: I think there are about 500-600 pages of documentation each time I refinance. I have to initial every page — I suspect I have actually read 5 pages of the 500 and even if I tried I would understand 10 pages at most. The lawyers have made the process over-complicated to assure they have a bigger role than is necessary in the process. In fact if the lawyers had focused on the important stuff – like validating information that was fraudulent on many mortgages – we would be in a better place today.

This will reinforce Mr. Obama’s position that he is President of all the people.

In order to keep Social Security funds solvent a while longer before social security must be overhauled, how about letting those who are eligible for Social Security but are not drawing it, and are working instead, let them make up to the amout they could make before their social security would be affected if they were drawing and working, make that amount tax free. This would inspire those to work, instead of retire and draw social secutity. In my case $13k a year that I would not have to pay any fed tax on. Also put a cap on the amount that could be earned tax free.

As I understand it,
1. Melamine was found in baby formula.
2. There was currently no measure for what was a safe level of melamine in baby formula.
3. The standard was set to higher than the current levels found.
4. Nobody has to change their processes.
Am I the only person who has a problem with this?
