Presidential Disrespect

Disrespectful comments by Republicans must be addressed! Staff needs to research your opponents’ record. Romney is a job destroyer who lost reelection, Perry’s favors to large campaign contributors and tea party candidates are wide open. Those living in glass houses should not throw stones! No president should tolerate comments i.e. Liar, clueless!

Social Security: Save $$ and Make it Better!

Offer retirees a plan which will give them graduated benefits. Something like this: at age 66 the retiree gets benefits they would have gotten at 62. Then each year benefits increase – for example at 67 they get benefits the would have received at 63. Benefits continue to increase until age 76, when they get the full 72 retirement age benefits. This would have to be tweaked by the actuarial wizards.

I think a lot of people with some savings would take it, and use their own resources for the first few years (or keep working) so that they will have the higher benefits should they live a long time.

Now we are forced to choose a fixed benefit for life, which make us gamble current income against long life… This plan would balance that out. It also delays expenditures for the government, and may increase revenues for a few years if people continue to work. I think it is a win-win idea.

This makes SS benefits more like they were intended to be – insurance for the aged.

Deficit reduction

Mr. Obama, you should have vetoed the republican bill to extend the 2001 Bush tax cuts on the wealthy. But since you did not, you should now try to see to it that taxes revert to the rules in effect in 2000.
The Bush tax cuts reduced the federal revenue by two hundred billion dollars annually. Therefore a return to the 2000 tax rules should increase revenue significantly.
That would help the deficit obviously.
During my lifetime, (69 years), only one tax increase on the wealthy has been passed and that was by the Clinton administration in 1993. Many tax reductions have been passed on the wealthy during my lifetime. The wealthy will be just fine if they have to pay a little more tax. Clinton’s tax increase on the wealthy improved the economy dramatically so get with it.

I propose a 05% decrease in spending from the 2010 budget across the entire federal government. Including pay cuts for all federal employees, congress and the President. All foreign spending everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Capital Hill should take the hit

What should be done is only the obvious,we should go back to basics when the those that represent us had to pay there own way.let look at this for one minute,Has anybody stopped to look at the way most of these guy live.private jets, limo’s 20 room mansion’s etc. etc.in the old day’s they didn’t even get a salary.now it would seem that the only thing getting done today is who can fill there pockets the fastest till there is nothing left and we are left holding the bag.if i were the president i would start buy forcing them to justify why they need such huge paycheck’s.(i need a new porch for my grand daughter to attend private school in) is not a legitimate reason other than reasonable living expenses they should have to pay for there own extravagant life styles.
Lets put a stop to this and i bet my eye teeth that will see how many fake reps that if this were to happen they would run away screaming.only the real reps would remain and then real work that would help us (america) really get things fixed.we should close the bank on the fat cats by maybe letting know that if you already have a butt load of assets,a minimum amount of money before you could get a pay check.the logic being if you got a ton of money why do you need mine?

Get rid of Boehner and his ilk

If our economy was the RMS Titanic, Republicans would be like an ambitious first mate, so eager to seize power from the captain that he steers the ship of state into an iceberg, thinking he’ll take over when the captain goes down with the ship. Republicans have forgotten — or no longer care — they’re on the boat too, and they’re working very hard to ensure that the country will be nearly ungovernable should they succeed in seizing the reins of government.

If it seems like the White House is arranging deck chairs on the Titanic, the GOP is busy measuring the the captain’s quarters for drapes, even as the ocean pours in. And the tea party orchestra plays on, with just one song on the playlist — “Under the Sea.”

President Obama, please listen up: The GOP is no longer be a normal party. It’s the political equivalent of Courtney Love showing up at your intervention and Charlie Sheen offering you a ride to rehab. The current GOP’s current brand of crazy (that Noonan, Books and others are just noticing) started a long time ago. If the Speaker (who can’t seem to realized he is part of the problem, not part of the solution) and the GOP and the DEMS who side with them continue to hold this country hostage, please stop their salaries. I’ve had enough, and so has most of the country, of their three-year-old, snot-nosed tantrums.

Support from NYC

I believe that the following adjustments should be made:
1) The debt ceiling should be raised as allowed by the
U.S. Constitution
2) If Social Security is being cancelled, the needed
needed money should be replaced using legislators’
salaries so that they can feel the struggle of the
poor, elderly, and other wise needy.
3) Tax breaks should not be given to corporations that
don’t want higher taxes.

United States financial crisis

Institute a Goods and Service tax

The Goods and service tax ( GST) has prooved a great way for Canada to give the Federal government a simple way to ensure sufficient revenue to balance ourbudget in Canada. I suggest a GST would serve the same purpose for the USA. I further would suggest the same GST method would serve the European countries as well. e,g, We poured billions of dollars into Greece without solving there financial crisis. A GST tax would help Greece, Italy, etc. Good luck , Mr President.

National Debt

It is time for the government to receive a cut in pay, to pay part of their health insurance and to have their retirement fund reduced. The government still reaps the same benefits as always while the rest of America has to deal with unemployment, paying for health insurance, watching Social Security dwindle. The government bodies need to take cuts as well. I am tired of working my butt off trying to keep my home while my husband looks for a job and my kid starting college. Because my son is a white US citizen, he doesn’t get a money to go to college. Let’s start taking care of Americans!

The wrong debt limit cuts

Cutting CPI on social security is unacceptable. The government owes SS $2.4 trillion that presidents have raided from excess SS revenues . Pay back any annual SS deficit with money owed.

The $50 billion in cuts from Medicare and SS could have been achieved by bargaiing prices of Prescription drugs for Mediare down to prices those companuies charge in Europe —-$40 billion in saving .

Satardized claim forms for all health insurance companies would save $8 billion.

Defense should be cut $100 billion as per the bi-partisan commission

The tax cut for teh rich should be eliminated-$70 billion

Obama‘s $300 billion tax cut was on top of Bush’s $230 billion tax cut . SOmeone should tell the Republiacns , and Obama, that federal revenues were les in 2010 than 2009 and 2011 projected increases amount to 1.7% increse after inflation per annum-the LOWEST SPENDING INCRESE IN 75 years.. -Eliminate $200 billion of cuts over 2 year-they were TEMPORARY.

Total cuts in defcit———-$418 billion

In addition a Financial Transaction Tax on every stock or financial instrument purchasefof 1/4 of one percent ( buyer and seller) would raise $150 and dampen day trading speculation and address high frequency trading which is a scam.

Total cuts——– $568 billion!!!!!!!!

Obama should have prosed a revenue based cut in the deficit more than Republicans and let them explain their
refusal. But when you let the Republcans frame the debate on spending, spending, spending and neitther the press nor the Obama administraion tells the American people that spending is the one part of governmentn that has responded severly to the deficit-you have lost.
