I am of the opinion that as probably the most advanced world economy, but a country that has a long way to go to reclaim it’s former moral authority that as President, Mr Obama would gain immense respect, especially in the developing world if he could exert pressure to bring the Doha Round of trade talks to a successful conclusion.

Mr Obama has spoken eloquently of the need to work with the international community and achieving a successful Doha Round would do much towards this. Further, it would give a stimulus to international trade across many sectors and potentially provie an impetus to world growth thus benefiting the US and other nations.
