Please Obama Pass a law that prevents wolves from being killed.Wolves are a great species and by the end of the century there are not gonna be any more.Wolves Are Beautiful creatures and i don’t think its fair how people hunt them!Please pass a law forbidding the hunting of wolves.

Use of light weight nylon type fabric able to reach from the floor of the gulf to the top of the water – tethered to concrete blocks similar to traffic barriers (only larger) dropped to the Gulf floor. Attempt to corral the leaking oil by boxing an area around it Possibly (500 foot containment area). The top side of the fabric shoul be tethered to floats possibly rubber bladders filled with compressed air to contain the slick better on top of the water too. although this will not stop the leak it will at least contain the disaster to a manageable area while BP is attempting the fix.

Insert a balloon inside the pipe, then inflate; then cap off the pipe using the cap that is currently on it to keep the balloon inside. The balloon that I am talking about is used in coal mining and is unbelievable strong. My nephew can tell you all about how to do it, as he’s been a coal miner for several years and has had 1st hand experience on the type of balloon I am talking about.

Contact any other Oil company and tell them to temporarily close down their drilling rig / plattform. Once the drill holeis closed and seal ( mandatory for all companies to drill is the promise that all drilling holes will be sealed when the time comes.. ). Once the hole is sealed, tow the oil plattform to the oil spill site and start pumping. Case closed. If any oil company cannot comply, then impose penalty and make them comply. conduct sealing tests and control, again impose severe penalties for any who cannot, donot or are not willing to comply.

use NASA’s expertise to develop quickly a vehicle to weld or clamp the pipes and hoselines. The purpose of the shuttle is to be able to reach 1 mile down. The shuttle project will be seen to be a coup as it is being fased out and will be helping in preserving life on our planet, a double service for our technology and bravery and money certainly well spent if we try. I respectfully suggest that the gas tax, nation-wide, be raised, say 10 cents per gallon, in order to fund relief efforts for those who have been hurt by the BP oil disaster. We are all guilty of our oil addiction which we have chosen to ignore, for whatever reason, for 30+ years.The gulf oil spill is as much our fault as it is BP’s. We, who benefit from the oil industry every day by purchasing gas/oil, should help pay for the disaster affecting Gulf coast businesses. Upstream of the pipe leak, install a 40′ long Ductile Iron pipe jacket with an ID about 8″ greater than the OD of the existing leaking pipe. install spacers to creat about a 4″ cavity surrounding the existing pipe. Leave let about about 2′ of the leaking end of the existing pipe project past the past the end of the jacket. Make sure the jacket pipe has been equiped with a LN2 pipe connection fitting and also fit the jacket with with a check valve. Install the jacket pipe either by sliding over the existing pipe -or- cut the jacket pipe in half lengthwize and install the bottom half of it under the existing pipe and the top half over the existing pipe and either weld or flange and bolt the two halves of the jacket togther. Close the open ends of the jacket and the existing pipe with steel rings.

Pump LN2 slush mixed with sawdust into the cavity between the jacket and the existing pipe. The water inside the cavity will be pushed out the check valve as the slush is pumped inside the cavity. the wood chips will compress to absorb expansion of any water that freezes.

Result: The temperature of LN2 slush is around -200 degrees F, and will quickly freeze the inner wall of the existing pipe (being very cold at a depth of 5000 feet will help quicken the freezing process). Oil freezes at a much higher temperature than the temperature of the LN2 slush. As the inner wall of the existing pipe freezes the passing oil will freeze solid to the pipe wall. As the oil freezes more oil will continue to stick and freeze solid to itself progressively reducing the ID of the leaking pipe to a point where the flow of oil will be restricted enough to create back pressure to slow and stop the flow. At that point, install a flange and bolt on a shut-off valve in the closed position onto the recently cut off end of the existing pipe. Once this has been done, pump out the LN2 slush and refill the cavity with pumped concrete slurry. This becomes a permanent fix.
