Given that clean water is still a scarcity and contaminated by factories. and land is completely depleted due to constant reuse…North America shoud grow food grain/ food products for 3rd world countries…southern state will be condusive..for this.

it has ocured to me that the glacers melting will leave the earth beneath it barren and dark whitch soaks up heat from the sun .why then can’t we turn the land white again.(to reflect sun light that the glacers did)this can be done in several ways.paint the areas with the best refletive materials.plant white flowers.there is white algea out there too.also all that water melting is thinng out the salt in the ocean curents.We have vast salt domes in the USA. why ar’nt we adding it to the arctic melt run off,to raise the salt consentration levels.also there is white plankton too.thanks barney

Being as we are a nation that was founded on the principal of separation of church and state, and are also aware that democracy cannot exist when people aren’t truly free to make personal choices about which religion to choose or not choose, than it seems to me that we are being nothing less than hypocritical if we continue to support governments of countries that do not offer similar or equivalent policies of separation of church and state.

Would it be practicle for the government to have a one-time free lightbulb giveaway to the American families to decrease the energy costs? This would allow people that cannot afford the new lightbulbs the opportunity as well as introduce other people that just haven’t tried them and realized how cost efficient they are. Once they have used them, we can only hope that it will at least convert a percentage of the population to using them continuously.
It’s just a thought I had that I thought would show some reasonable and fairly quick results.

I suggest that Solar electric/heat systems installation be a requirement for all new construction – Residential and Commercial. The costs of these systems would essencially be zero due to a mandate, and would just be part of the accepted construction cost.
Secondarily, a mandate could made to require Solar systems to be reto-fitted to all homes / buildings that are bought or sold on the open market. Costs could be subsidized by the Federal or State governemt in addition to potentially accounting for the installation cost within the newly acquired mortgage.
This would also provide a stimulus to the construction industry and help save or create new jobs.

There is no way with our technological advances, that we should be doing perpetual construction on our roads every 2 years. We must improve quality on road construction. Re-paving a road every 2 years is a waste. Every time I take a road trip there is road construction somewhere. It’s enormous. And it’s a waste, because I know we have the knowledge to build roads that last for 50 years.

I just received some accessories for my phone that i ordered online. When i saw the box, i thought that i had ordered the wrong thing, but when i opened it, i saw my charger and screen protector. There was so much wasted cardboard and plastic packaging, it was ridiculous. We could stop wasting so much packaging material, and think greener.
